The Leonardo Mainz has been receiving guests since 15 July 2025, a good two weeks before the originally scheduled launch date of 1 August. Hotel Director David Wilhelm and his team were on hand to greet the first guests in person. The Hagman Kadri family from Sweden had been on a two-week trip through Europe and took a spontaneous decision to check in on the opening day. They were delighted to be given such a great reception.
